If there is a list of skin care topics that girls care about these days, " Glycolic Acid " must be on the list. After all, there are so many people talking about its benefits: speeding up skin's metabolism, improving skin texture, relieving breakout.

Glycolic acid is a water-soluble  alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that is derived from sugar cane. It is one of the most well-known and widely used alpha-hydroxy acids in the skincare industry.

But at the same time, many people will have doubt, is it really good for my skin?

The answer is YES! It really does work!

In general, there are the following three benefits of Glycolic Acid:

  • Exfoliates the top layer of skin. This exfoliation accelerates skin cell renewal and increases collagen production, leaving the skin smooth.
  • Fights acne by exfoliating dead skin cells that often clog pores and trigger breakouts.
  • Fades mild hyperpigmentation like dark spots and acne marks by accelerating skin cell renewal.

So, if we can use glycolic acid products correctly, it can improve our skin definitely.
